  • Imre Szeman is Professor of English, Film Studies and Sociology at the U of Alberta. He conducts research on and teaches in the areas of social and cultural theory, film and visual culture, globalization and nationalism, and Canadian studies. Szeman is author (most recently) of After Globalization (2011, with Eric Cazdyn) and Popular Culture: A User’s Guide (2013, 3rd edition, with Susie O’Brien).
